KNOW THY SELF

The Ancient Greek aphorism “Know thyself” is one of the Delphic maxims and was inscribed in the forecourt of the Temple of Apollo at Delphi

SORT YOURSELF OUT

We all carry programming from outside sources. Recognizing the various aspects of our being is a Key to Freedom. Until we comprehend the depths of external contamination – and disconnect our selves from it – we are little more than puppets and parrots of the world around us.

Here we take a look at developmental conditioning and its effects on our behavior and consciousness. A series of exploratory exercises will help to illuminate and separate the true self from the programming. When this is achieved, we can more readily tap into the unlimited potential of the authentic self.

REFLECTIONS OF THE SELF

Macroprosopus / Microprosopus by Elpihas Levi

Illustration at the right is by Eliphas Levi, as found in his book ‘Transcendental Magic’ . Levi describes this image as “The great Symbol of Solomon. The Double Triangle of Solomon, represented by the two Ancients of the Kabalah; the Macroprosopus and the Microprosopus; the God of Light and the God of Reflections; of mercy and vengeance; the white Jehovah and the black Jehovah.” This symbol can be interpreted in a number of ways; the most obvious is a human reflecting on the current of the subconscious self. This is the essence of self-inquiry and is an essential step to personal power.
